The ipad is smaller than I would have expected me clumsy....
but I think for ebooks and communication alone it is fabulous, and also for having fun with photos, reading sheet music as well (maybe I can put it on a cooking book stand???)
Al for me depends on the quality of onscreen reading, and how my slightly less agile hands (due to the arthritis) will handle the touch-aspect, thus also the quality of the sensors.
comment from an Expert : "The public reaction is still kind of uncertain," Kay added. "We're still scratching our heads."
yepp, me too, but I sure want one- fast!!!!
actually, i do not know....
today i was looking if there will be a new book out by robert b parker, writer of the spenser novels.
no more- all i found were yesterday´s and today´s obituaries.
a lot of the authors pesonality went into his protagonists, both spenser and the harbour police chief. as i´ve read every single one of them i think i know the characters pretty well, and know that they cannot be recreated even by a fine writer, so they have effectively deceased with immediate effect.
mr parker died at his desk- writing, which he did every day for a few hours. i will miss him, as i know a bit of him, through spenser.....
so what happens is that i mourn my heroes, and in particular, mr robert b parker.
comincerà a trattare bene
voi, me e gli altri,
e si principierà la vita felice.
Renata von Koerber with Chiara Chelsea and very little Floyd
Looking through some old pictures i had some fun, some sorrows today...
I love this picture from the days in Hutchinson Island- probably Floyd is just 3 or four days old, so April 2000 must be the date...
Chelsea seems to not enjoy the situation at all... maybe she had looked up the expression "Middle Child" whilst Mommie was on the way home from hospital- with baby Floyd in tow!
It was a fun time, even though a lot of not so good things continued to happen around me.
Still, looking at this I know nothing could have been better!
