this book is my choice of reading as i am studying dante at the university right now.. all in the context of narratives of journeys. i am curious to find the same minimalist but telling style of this author who really looks at things directly and relates this perspective to the reader. lots of dark, lots of evil, but a glimpse of hope. i would not go for this as it is so grizzly, but the language is truly beautiful, so i cannot resist...
